I’m Casper de Vries, passionate about finance, risk management, and investing. My journey into finance started with my grandfather and his firm OHV, which sparked my curiosity about markets and long-term wealth. After completing my Master’s in Quantitative Risk Management at the Vrije Universiteit, I began working as an investment consultant at Ortec Finance, helping international pension funds make complex investment decisions and quantify financial risks using scenario analysis.
Outside of work, I dive into financial markets through my blog, pursue the CFA program, and build Python tools for risk modeling and portfolio analysis. When I’m not crunching numbers, you’ll probably find me enjoying a great espresso, gaming, or brainstorming ideas for my own asset management venture.
